Though the news and data stream may be real time I think it’s important to reiterate what was alluded to near the end of this review, namely that if you are a day trader of scalper you could be slightly disappointed with the speed (or lack thereof) of the actual trade/order software aspect. If your main goal is taking little bits and pieces of profits here and there throughout the day then you need a lightning fast order system and market beater and this one may let you down in that regard. On the flip side, this is an excellent solution for those who are more long term “investor” types.

I love the data streams that come through with Thompson, while at the same time integrating anything that I need added to it. I think it also includes more companies and stock quotes than any other program I have ever used, I haven’t seen a similar number quoted anywhere. Everything is real time of course and they come across very fast, sometimes faster than I can keep up with. I have never heard about the Street Events that are mentioned in this post, so I am wondering about that now. Does anyone know how you find out about it?
