Q Chart Review
Qchart is a stock trading software platform that allowing traders to visit the streaming of global financial data and charts in real time right at their desktop. It is fast than its contemporaneis but often leads to crashing and loss of data. QCharts proprietary server technology that allows high compression of data allowing the program to download large amounts of information quickly is what that most people acknowledges till date. It is easy to use and has many essential features. If one is a technical trader and wants reliable, flexible and powerful real-time technical charting, then QCharts is the tool that is highly recommended to meet their trading needs.
Qcharts have several features that make it an important tool. Some of these include availability of information with only one click, connection to online brokerage firms using built in browser windows, Advanced Charting capabilities with more than 35 technical indicators that is at the disposal of the trader. The dynamic Hot Lists is powerful software that helps in scanning markets in seconds identifying best trading strategies and opportunities.
Multiple windows in Qcharts is another important feature using which it is very easy to follow daily gyrations of the market. Color coding helps identify winners and losers at a glance. Qcharts allows one to access complete NASDAQ Level II Book, including ECNs and other non-participants traders can also set alerts indicating when their stock has reached a particular level and hot list can be source of certain ideas showing biggest gainers and so forth. People who have subscribe to Qcharts also gets market data downloads and an array of web-based news, research and analysis from sources such as Delta, Theta, Vega, Gamma and Implied Volatility. All this is lucid in nature and everyone can understand them. New versions have include another important feature namely breaking news where business headlines from realtime traders Pro, the associated press, business wire are instantly displayed right on your screen,.
Various versions of Qcharts have been out so far, but people prefer going back to old releases because they are more reliable and less prone to problems like program crashes. The data feed of Qcharts is one of the worst among its rivals, and is getting progressively worse. The data feed is useless with many gaps, time lagging and incorrect daily bars. When exchange hours change e.g. holidays etc the charts get totally messy. The support is virtually non existent. The only people who can help are the users on the QChart Yahoo group. There seems no commitment among the Qcharts group to retain its members.
Its pros and cons can be summarized as, though one gets real-time stock information at a reasonable cost, but it is not as complete and flexible as it could be. It is a good deal for the available price, but a few improvements would make it a great deal. While the software is free, the service itself costs $110 per month for Qcharts plus and 95$ for Qcharts itself A year's subscription costs around $1026$ Though it is not bad comparing that services even go for $1800 a year

This is probably one of the most honest Q Chart reviews I have read. It took me a long time to warm up to this software, but when I finally did I came to rely on many of the features. I can’t do without the multiple windows option anymore and so many other software programs leave that out.
Yes, it has its bugs/problems but there is some good work here and it is a very capable program all around.
