Gr8trade Review
|
Gr8trade is market analysis software that helps the trader to perform trading with great deal of flexibility and agility. Developed by Kershner Trading Group, the trading platform, Gr8trade helps the trader to analyze the change in markets and respond quickly to those changes. The software is adjusted for professional, proprietary short-term traders and offers sturdy and strong market data and execution capabilities. Gr8trade allows the user to buy and sell stops on the server side, this is critical to gaining good entry sometimes and not getting the stop run just because the specialist sees it.
Kreshner group has put in a persistent effort, there by making the features more attractive and user friendly. Some of the great features and benefits include alerts, stops, charts, sectors, baskets, tickers, autotrading features, scanning capabilities, depth-of-book information and market surge capacity as part of trading unit. If a trader likes to know when a stock is breaking above a particular price level, or when you gain some information from the previous day and want to be alerted to them throughout the day, then with gr8trade it is very easy.
All the users have to do is pull up the chart, right click with the mouse where you want the alert based on the price action to go off at, and click on one of the options. This is not available in other stock software and if does is a bit complicated. Other great features in the reporting section are Account management, profit and loss, connection to the Kershner middle office, infoCenter, risk management, quantitative data warehouse. The position monitor is very robust as it allows the trader to set up tabs for rapid access to multiple accounts. One of the important features that distinguish it from other platforms is bail keys. This is one of the few platforms with a well thought out accessible system because one can immediately exit all longs or shorts by just pressing a button. Gr8trade was the very first stock software to introduce concept of baskets.
The architecture of gr8trade is very flexible and enables direct market access. It is scalable and also allows redundancies and failover capabilities, data centers co-located with financial markets systems for instant access, easy to add new markets, products and order types, well defined application program interface (API). The software not only allows for a new high new low ticker but it also has built in some other criteria to help traders make money. Some examples include, channel breakouts, stocks with activity (trades going off) above and below the inside bid or offer.
Despite of having all these features there are lots of complaints about people getting the quotations wrong. The charts are not up to date and sometimes it leads to system crashes. The requirements of pc are more than what is mentioned. Very little is done about handling data feed issues. The only real great thing about this investing software is the ticker. One is able to see block trades fly off, color coded for program buying/selling. It is not worth spending the money quoted for it.
please send me more info.and price for the gr8trade software. thank you steve r.

I can’t say that I love this software because it is not the easiest program to use, but there is definitely a lot going for it. I think that it was just that I got used to using something else so now the new stuff I see coming out is not always easy to transfer to.
There are a lot of alerts and I don’t always get the point of every single one, but they can be useful at some point or another — if you can figure out how to use them, that is.
What catches my eye in this review is the capability for bailing out on all positions with the push of a keystroke. I have never heard of this before but I think it’s a great idea. Some people might say that it’s insane to have that much weight on one push of a button but in today’s world you just never know when you might need something like that. If there were another massive attack or world event it would be a useful method for exiting all positions and preserving capital in case the whole market goes haywire. This has definitely piqued my interest, despite some of the software’s apparent drawbacks.
