Even though, there are improvements made to the software, there are still problems experienced with the program. Interruptions happen between two to three times daily which results to lose of opportunities and money. But these problems are slowly being sorted out by the developers. The FutureSource feed feature of the software provides quality data feed and its user interface is customizable. For a couple of months, two to three bars are missing but the program just needs to be reloaded to obtain back the missing bars.
With the indicators, they cannot be customized though it provides you with a wide range of indicators where you can choose from. When opening a new workspace, the other opened panes are resized to its original size, so if there are a lot of indicators open you, need to resize every workspace again. What is missing is that, there are no options on the e-minis for the overnight session to be turned on and off. And a not so important option is that, the background color cannot be changed.
The technical support for this software offers great help to the users, they are quick and helpful. Though, the admin staff and sales are the opposite. They are sometimes rude and do not want to help and to add to that they know a little about the product.
The reliability of the software is also one of its great features aside from being cost-effective and fast. The way the price is displayed does not have a lot of options it is displayed in the same manner. This can be a good addition, in order for the users to be able to organize them in a way that they can easily determine or search for the best price in the market.
Overall, the FsXtra Platinum stock market software’s performance is great and a lot of users are really satisfied with what the software offers.
The fact that “interruptions happen two or three times daily” is a bit frightening. Hopefully they have that issue sorted out by now. I know that nothing is more frustrating to me than when I have a trade in my scope, I’m ready to pull the trigger, and then out of nowhere I lose power or the software freezes up. Some active traders might only find that one perfect opportunity once a day or once a week, so if that opportunity gets blown they may have to wait a whole week to make up for it. In the market game it’s all about consistent gains and allowing your account balance to compound, so you really need reliable programs to help make this a possibility.
