DAS trader is excellent software for professional users. It’s updated regularly and very seldom its server is down. It has Level II quotes and charts like any other trading software but it distinguishes in its style, speed of execution, reliability and functionality.
It misses some of the common feature like backtesting but still score high. It is customizable which helps the trader a lot. The charting software is excellent and has a slightly different way of projecting the DMI indicator which is very helpful. It includes plenty of platforms like DAD trader Web, DAS Trader pro, DAS Trader lite, out of which Trader pro is most popular.
The Trader pro is a level II Direct access trading software that is designed to operate over the net. One can see stock anywhere on the screen and at just one click perform different operations on it. This software is very powerful and is equipped with point and click trading. It has many essential features like already mentioned Level II window, Charts, market minder, top list, Account manager, trade manager, island book, News at any tme, And Time to Sale. All these feature form an integral part of the software. Recently it has included Trader web which is a trading solution that provides fast, flexible, and private branded capabilities to meet all equity and options trading needs. Its cost is very less when compared to other platforms offering same features. The browser based trading platform is like a fully functional direct access trading platform with no additional cost or overheads. All the information from real time quotes to profit loss calculations, watch lists are available at the fingertip. Also with DAS Trader PRO you can get access to Level 2 quotes for NASDAQ, NYSE, AMEX, OTC-BB and Pink Sheet stocks. It includes whole list of timing indicators and charts like candlestick with real time and intra day charts.
The account manager is the Accounting center of trader pro.. It contains two windows which determine the buying power and dynamically track positions. It allows the users to see the buy powers, unrealized gains and margins, trade tickets, and share amounts. One can get Real Time stock news like earning reports, earning warnings, FDA approval or denials, Major contact wins or losses, Stock splits, buy backs, debt offerings etc. Real-time stock market news is FREE with DAS Trader PRO. The Order types include market, limit, stop and trailing stop. The most important aspect of DAS Trader pro is that it allows the client to trade stocks, options and futures all through one software and from the same account which is somewhat missing in some of the other software.
It is the first software that provides so many options of routing. It is excellent software that has everything most traders need. There are few bugs here and there but it is not a major issue. The DAS trader pro is free 20 trades per month of 125$ or more where as DAS trader lite is free with 5000$ account size or 25$ per month.
Never heard of this one before. Will have to check it out.
This program looks very robust and powerful, but it seems like they’re really catering to bigger groups like brokers, money managers, and clearing firms. The entire infrastructure has been designed in a way that is most conducive to the needs of the “big guys”, and I guess I’m left wondering where the gaps and holes might be if one of the “little guys” wants to use it. Though not always the case, I have found that programs that focus on one OR the other tend to offer better, more advanced support systems. Trying to design a product for everybody usually ends up with somebody getting left out of the usability metrics.
