In my mind, the chat feature is an essential tool, both from a risk aversion and profit extending standpoint. There is a certain truth to the theory about the so-called “wisdom of crowds”, and I have found that corresponding with fellow traders in real time helps me to think more clearly. I can think of several situations where I was dead set on making a trade but was talked out of it by a more rational mind, and on a few of them if I had gone through with it the results would have been catastrophic. The one time I have used it I found it to be a little cliquish and not very welcoming. It is clear that there are people there who spend a huge part of their day doing nothing but chatting and I would like to trade so whatever. As for the rest of the program, it functions well, gives me everything I need and keeps me on top of things so I’m happy with it.
